Are you confused about what to eat? Do you wonder what really is healthy? As in what will help you to feel good, look good, and live longer? The short answer is high quality real food: meats, fats, vegetables, fruits, grains, legumes (beans), and dairy. But what if you have kidney stones or irritable bowel syndrome, or fibromyalgia? Or if you just really feel unwell? Then you still need real food, but you are going to need some tweaks (at least until you see some significant healing.)
This is the first in a series of posts to help you customize a healthy diet for you. I will be going through each group of foods and explaining what is healthy for everyone. And then I will give specific foods that will help you with your health concerns.
Step 1 to finding your perfect diet: Define your Goals
How are you feeling? Do you have energy to do your important tasks? Are you a healthy weight? Is your skin clear? Do your joints hurt? Have you been diagnosed with an autoimmune condition (rheumatoid arthritis, hashimoto’s thyroiditis, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, Crohn’s)? If you need some healing in one of these areas, then finding the perfect diet for you can REALLY help. (If you want some real life stories of lives being changed with food then click here.)
The diet that is right for you will leave you full, satisfied, trim, energetic, and could put your autoimmune condition in remission. In short you should feel nourished and good. This won’t happen overnight, but some people do have dramatic results immediately!
